1076.1-2007 RevisionLatest news
Revision historyThe 1076.1 standard is in the process to be revised and re-balotted in 2006. The revision will clarify a number of language definitions and will fix typos in the 1076-1999 Language Reference Manual. It is not planned to include new functionalities in the language. Here is a number of documents that form the basis of the revision work:
The 1076.1 Language Design Committee is still working on these documents. Please send any feedback to either Ernst Christen or Alain Vachoux. The technical editor for the 1076.1-2006 LRM is Peter Ashenden. On May 31, 2006, the Working Group approved the issue request resolutions and the D2.8 draft LRM with a number of comments (vote details here). A new version of the draft LRM including changes from the vote comments is now being developed. It will be submitted to a forthcoming IEEE ballot. On September 28, 2006, the IEEE ballot closed with the following results: P1076.1 Standard VHDL Analog and Mixed-Signal Extensions

Ballot comments and resolutions are available here. Since no technical changes have been made to the LRM document, no further ballot recirculation was felt necessary. However, when submitting the ballot package to IEEE RevCom on February 2007, we have been asked to make another 10-day recirculation and also to amend the 1076.1 PAR to remove dependency on the upcoming 1076-2007 standard. The ballot recirculation happened between March 28 and April 7, 2007. As a result, the single negative vote has been changed to approve, then reaching 100% approval. |
