Erich has suggested a "group" construct.
I agree that some capability for grouping fragments of a property
specification will be very helpful; I see this as a refinement of
requirement R45a about support for named properties.
If there are a very large number of properties, we may not want to
give names to them all, but we may want to refer (for example,
in a control script outside the language) to a collection of properties
or bits of modelling code, and to treat it as a whole.
How this is best done depends on the design of the language
as a whole.
Some tools may provide additional grouping, beyond
what's provided in the language. I know that RuleBase has
quite sophisticated grouping constructs. I wouldn't think that all
these would be appropriate in a standard language, but at least
some facility for grouping, naming groups, and allowing tools
to access groups, will be very helpful.
