Hi Shalom,

i think you can say it either way, since it follows from the BNF. I
suggest postponing the decision until Draft6 is ready since it brings
many changes in assertions and this issue may become irrelevant.

In 16.9, in the paragraph following Syntax 16-12, it says,

"The type of variable is explicitly specified."

Should that be

"The data type of the variable shall be explicitly specified." ?
