Dear colleagues,
The P1577 OOVHDL Working Group bylaws were approved by DASC late last
year (see attached). We now need to elect officers: Chair, Vice Chair,
Secretary and Technical Editor. The first three positions need to be
distinct people, but the Technical Editor need not be.
Judith Benzakki of University of Evry, France, has expressed interest in
Chairing the group - many thanks! However, as I pointed out to her, the
bylaws require the office holders to be full members, and that requires
participation in two out of three of the last meetings of email votes
plus DASC membership. Wolfgang and I are happy to continue as Chairs
pro tem until a new Chair qualifies to take over. (Consider us as
nominees for Chair and Vice-Chair.) Thanks also to others who expressed
interest in participating in the working group.
I now call for nominations for the following office bearers:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Technical Editor
Nominees must be members. A list of current members is included below,
based on participation in the last three working group events.
Please send nominations to me (Peter Ashenden) by email to
peter@ashenden.com.au by 5pm US Pacific Time, Wednesday 21 February. I
will then call for a vote.
