Call for vote on merging 1604 with 1076

Dear colleagues,

This is a different message from the one I sent earlier to the P1164 list.
This message relates to P1604, the "Lib IEEE" WG.

I have heard no further discussion of the proposal to merge P1604 into the
1076. I therefore put the motion:

That the work proposed in the scope of P1604 be transferred to the P1076
Working Group for inclusion in the next revision of Standard 1076, and
that the P1604 Working Group be disbanded.

Please reply either to me (mailto:peter@ashenden.com.au) or to the list with
your vote, by 5pm US-PST, Friday 26-Mar-2004, selected from the following
positions:

1. ____ Affirmative (optional comments will be recorded).

2. ____ Negative (no comments).

3. ____ Negative with comments...

4. ____ Abstain.

Since this is a motion to disband, it will require approval by two-thirds of
those voting. Furthermore, according to IEEE procedures, the motion
requires approval by a majority of WG members.

Following is a list of WG members who are also DASC members and thus
eligible to vote:

Peter Ashenden
Stephen Bailey
Gabe Moretti

Thanks, and regards,

Peter Ashenden
P1604 Chair
