Steve Longoria is vice president, semiconductor technology platform, IBM Systems & Technology Group. In his current position, Steve is leading efforts to establish IBM's semiconductor platform as a new model for collaboration and innovation delivering incremental value to partners and clients.
Prior to that, Steve was assigned to IBM's corporate strategy team, where he had primary responsibility for strategy supporting IBM's semiconductor, server, networking and telecommunications industries. He was instrumental in the development of IBM's Next Generations networking initiative.
Steve previously led and developed strategy for IBM's semiconductor OEM efforts, which resulted in extending the company's position as the leading ASIC supplier. In earlier IBM assignments, he was the marketing and strategy leader for IBM's network processor program; served as the strategy, marketing and business development leader for IBM's networking semiconductor partnership business that resulted in leadership market share for processors and custom logic; and helped IBM establish leadership roles developing the infrastructure and environment to enter the merchant market
Steve received his master's of science in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin and his bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
