Vassilios,
Thanks for the introduction. I look forward to working with folks on this
standardization effort.
A little bit of background on myself:
I have over 18 years of experience. The past 8 years I have been involved
in ASIC verification. All of my ASIC verification background is with
Verilog, Specman and Vera. I am currently at Cisco involved in the design
and verification of ASICs for their routing platforms. Prior to Cisco I
have held management positions, including director level positions, in
which I was responsible for management of large teams.
I am also the co-author of "The Art of Verification with Vera". I was
involved in PCMCIA standardization efforts for the PC Card 95 standard and
also wrote a book on PCMCIA.
The reason I got involved with this standardization effort is because I
expect to be using assertions in my future projects. I think it is very
important to add a user perspective to this process.
Thanks.
-Faisal
